Cisco Vlan

Q-in-Q (qinq) Vlans in vlan

  1. Use a vlan to Tunnel/Trunk multiple vlans between edge switches. Achieved by adding a 2nd (Metro Tag) vlan tag to already vlan tagged traffic.
  2. L2 protocols can also be allowed to create the illusion of one long cable. e.g. CDP, VTP, and spanning tree
  3. Items to check: Native VLAN overlap, MTU Growth
