Requirements / Ideal
- Remotely managed through network SNMP and possibly WEB
Status & Events, on-line, off-line, battery problems (SNMP and TRAPS)
- Multiple input's
- Escom power from grid
- Solar from panels
- Wind ?
- External battery's
- Either modular, or capable of adding external lead-acid battery's
- Remote power control, or scheduled control
- Capable of switching off certain outlets
- Battery management
- Protection against damage due to full discharge
- Measurement and reporting on quality/status/life of battery unit
- Environmental monitoring
- Temperature etc. that could reduce battery life.
